AMOS Group is a marine and offshore solutions provider with a presence in 10 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.I have joined AMOS Group as Finance Manager in May 23 to oversee all the financial activities of UAE and UK entities, and for the regional holding company.Responsibilities of the role:- Lead a team of accountants to manage day-to-day finance activities including accurate transaction posting, Working Capital Management (WCM), and financial reporting (with direct reporting to the Group CFO)- Responsible for the Month-End Close (MEC), entire management reporting and preparation of annual financial statements- Prepare the annual budgets / forecasts / financial models and run the variance analysis to identify deviations- Review the weekly cashflow forecasts and sales pipeline (Order Intake and Order Book)- Primary point of contact for external audits, tax consultants and SAP Implementation consultants (SAP S/4 HANA)- Main point of contact for internal audit and responsible for the compliance of internal audit observations for the EME region- Responsible for managing the banking relations with the regional banks of the entities- Process owner of ERP (SAGE 50 Accounts) for the UAE and UK entities- Manage the mandatory submissions to authorities including the ESR and UBO reporting

My responsibilities at EY includes:- Leading consulting projects and assignments, and supervising teams deputed at multiple clients;- Audit engagement planning; meeting with clients to understand their expectations and designing audit strategies after assessing audit risk;- Identification of control gaps and opportunities for improvement;- Risk assessment of internal controls in order to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal controls and to identify elevated risk areas;- Preparation of Process Documentation, Risk and Control Matrix (RACM), Audit Programs, Test Plans and Working Papers in accordance with the requirements of EY Global Methodology;- Performing audit procedures, analytical procedures, business & financial analysis, and benchmarking of relevant client with the competitor industry and best practices;- Building relationships and contributing to EY’s improved market presence through client interaction, developing thought-leaderships and communications on regulatory and markets development;- Finalization of audit reports / deliverables on audit findings and providing appropriate recommendations to management for achievement of organizational goals and objectives;- Documentation and formulation of SOPs for business processes considering the gaps identified in the internal controls review phase;- Coordinating between project teams and other stakeholders for completion of projects within defined timelines and budgets;- Assisting executive management while preparing proposals in line with the requirements of Request For Proposals (RFPs).
