Consumer products sourcing and fulfillment. Financing growth has always been a big part of my job. To grow my company, I grew my product offering which helped to build sales. Inventory purchases suck up a lot of cash very quickly so I factored my receivables, problem solved.

I built this company from the ground up and oversaw the various divisions of Cutting Edge. These include the distribution of Uniforms and apparel, Cosmetics and fragrances.Cutting Edge developed a catalog of over 100,000 items, of which nearly 10,000 were actively ordered on a weekly basis. A highly cash intensive business where my clients were paying in 30 or 60 days, but my product often had to be paid upon receipt. The mismatch in cash flow was corrected by utilizing factoring which enabled me to grow my company. The cost was well worth it for me, the additional revenue took care of the expense.

I founded ATC Uniforms at a young age, fresh out of college with a little experience working in Wall Street.ATC supplied everything that an employee could need - in the case of Aviation Services clients, they were outfitted from head to toe with coveralls, work pants and shirts, hearing protectors, wheel chocks (for the planes) and pretty much anything an aviation maintenance company would need to operate. Expanded from Aviation in to the Guard Agency business (supplying them Uniforms) and built a great company with more than 4,000 B2B Clients.As my company grew, even though it was successful, there was a strain in cash flow preventing further growth at a fast pace. I learned about factoring invoices and found it was a perfect solution for my company.I was able to stock a 40,000 square foot warehouse and supply Uniforms quickly to clients all over USA.

This was Zafar's first job straight out of College. As a trainee, he spent time at the American Stock Exchange, The New York Stock Exchange, The New York Futures Exchange and also the Chicago Board Options Exchange.I gained a valuable insiders view of how the markets worked. It was before the time of computers, so I manually helped log the buys and sells of the day and sort out discrepancies. Had direct contact with many of the major market makers and stock brokers. Besides the exchange floors, I also worked in some of the support back offices to gain a full understanding of how the business worked.
