• Commissioning of Cummins Genets at 400V per Cummins Specification with Power Command Control System.• Termination, Routing of cables & cable trays as per power drawings. Offload load test after testing of safeties as per CAT specifications & checking of all running parameters (Voltage, frequency, RPM (Speed) & fuel) & their adjustments as per conditions. • Operation & Maintenance of Electrical & Mechanical troubleshooting of Diesel & Gas Genets.• Testing of CT’s VT’s overcurrent & grounding, Troubleshooting and rectification of Electrical faults.• Checking of PMG & main alternator bearing, Ignition transformer, Harness & Sensors (thermocouples, detonation, pressure & temperature) & protection relays (overcurrent, differential relay), Diode assembly & varistor for proper DC Excitation ignition transformer. DCS & SCADA System for monitoring of any abnormality during operation. • Diagnosing cause of Instrumentation malfunction or failure of operational equipment such as Transmitter, RTDs, Thermocouples, positioner, SOV, Relays, switches, Control and Monitoring devices and to take corrective measures.• Carry out day to day preventive, corrective and break down maintenance activities on field instrumentation and control systems• I have been working to troubleshoot various process/systems/equipment operational problems and consult with supervisor and colleagues as required.• Troubleshooting, corrective maintenance all kind of routine maintenance as per Caterpillar’s recommendations including 1000 hrs., 2000 hrs., 5000 hrs., Top End overhaul & In-frame overhaul services. Also prepare daily generation & consumption report. & supervise routine / schedule maintenance of generators and their auxiliaries.Take measures to operate powerhouse smoothly with efficient gas consumption. & prepare maintenance plan for preventive maintenance schedule & maintain the record of maintenance / logged parameters of powerhouse & maintain Work schedule.Check preventive maintenance activity during service & maintenance of Gensets.Responsible for creation & implementation of shutdown plans & Assist in preparation of annual budget of electrical section. Also responsible for various feasibility studies for increased plants availability.Carry out engineering study of plant defects and implemented necessary corrective actions.Identify and manage the procurement of complete power plant spares for electrical section.
