Zafree Azhar (b. 1998) is a Malaysian-born Architectural Designer and a burgeoning Visual Artist based in Kuala Lumpur. With a Bachelor of Applied Science in Architecture with Honors from MARA University of Technology (UiTM), Malaysia, he has recently garnered recognition as a nominee for the prestigious Bronze Medal at the 2020 RIBA (The Royal Institute of British Architects) President's Medals. Zafree has acquired valuable industry experience through internships at GDP Architects and as an Interior Designer at Studio Kanta. Currently, he devotes himself full-time to his artistic pursuits as a Visual & Digital Artist, Architectural Designer, Graphic Designer, and Sound Designer & Experimenter. Zafree's artistic endeavors are profoundly influenced by his contemplation of the Earth, his keen observation of humanity and nature, and his relentless exploration of the intricate themes that encompass existence.Renowned for his process-driven approach, Zafree Azhar continuously evolves as an artist and designer, delving into realms beyond the mere physicality of life. Each of his works represents an analysis and exploration of his impressions, initiating a captivating journey of experimentation and documentation.Endowed with a curious and creative interdisciplinary persona, Zafree embraces the role of an architectural agitator, tirelessly seeking innovation and growth beyond the boundaries of architecture and life itself. He actively engages in diverse art forms, including Visual and Digital Art, while mastering various media software and honing his skills in traditional Fine Arts techniques such as charcoal, oil, and acrylics. His versatility allows him to transcend platforms and mediums, ensuring the realization of his architectural and artistic ambitions.Zafree Azhar, embodies the spirit of a true multidisciplinary artist.
