• Prepared the annual plan and bi-annual re-forecast for interest income/expense, investments and debt.

• Managed the daily liquidity and forecasted the cash flows for the company’s LKR and USD portfolios of funds.
• Prepared investment proposals to the senior management recommending options for LKR and USD short term investments, respectively.

• Assisted the group-finance division on an on-going basis with the preparation of accounting entries for fund transfers, investments, investment maturities, monthly provisions and month-end investments and interest.

• A 3-year Finance Apprenticeship Program that provided exposure to extensive work experience, training and on-the-job knowledge in the following areas:
• Processed accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and GL transactions for business units in the JKH group, through SAP (FICO module).
• Preparation of balance sheet, income statement and management information system reports at the period closures.
• Member of the client service team and was assigned to manage the daily and month-end tasks of designated business units.
• Headed process migration assignments on credit reconciliation and invoicing for the John Keells "Cinnamon City Hotels". The tasks involved were to streamline the aforementioned two key processes in the hotels’ credit.
• Deployed for training in the Internal Audit, Group Tax, Group Finance and Group Treasury Divisions, respectively, in the John Keells Group, and at John Keells Stock Brokers (Pvt) Ltd - Finance Department.
