At Swarco, I focus on integrating and managing IT network systems that support our traffic management technologies. My job involves setting up and maintaining secure networks that allow different devices to communicate efficiently, ensuring everything works smoothly together.I work on designing network plans and collaborating with various teams to make sure our network can handle the latest technology in smart transportation. I also keep up with new developments in networking to improve our systems' performance and security.Part of my role is troubleshooting and fixing any network issues that come up, helping to keep our systems running with minimal downtime. Engaged in the daily administration and monitoring of Project Production Servers and network devices while engaging in comprehensive troubleshooting and issue resolution for the network, operating systems, software solutions, and hardware.Administration & configuration of MS systems such as Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS & WSUS.Configured and installed routers, switches, and wireless controllers.Provide on-site end-user support for the Traffic Operations Center Network Control & Duty Officers.Configuration of Siqura, Dahua surveillance camera, and FLIR Traffic Camera for actuation, and counting (Peek & McCain Controllers).Installed and configured all servers and switches, issued on-point IT support, and reported/monitored the operational status of LAN/WAN.Reviewed daily maintenance through the system, anti-malware, server, and other logs to ensure continued infrastructure operation.Conducted monthly backups of servers.Worked with outside vendors and teams to develop voice and data wiring infrastructure.Drove a 99% network uptime for 2017 to date, implementing highly proficient and proactive disaster recovery strategies.
