Advocating for policies, practices, and systems that increase college completion for low-income, first-generation and students of color in Illinois.

America Needs You (ANY) Fellows Program is an intensive two-year program for high-achieving, low-income, first-generation college students. The program has four components: intensive career development, one-on-one mentorship, robust networks, and holistic support.

• ELA Editorial interns aid with editing ELA content before the programs get sent off to schools.• Proofreads manuscripts and other forms of copy for general grammatical correctness.

- Provided individual and group tutoring to help improve test scores.- Presented students with college readiness skills by using my own experiences to aid and support these high school students.- Works with ESL students as well as other classes such as Social Sciences- Served as a mentor to high school students.

• MyUmbrella was started to provide a space to celebrate and promote the various stories and journeys that exist in our community. A safe space to bond through lessons learned and resources to show that we’re not alone as we often feel. • Duties of a member of the writers co-hort includes writing articles to be published monthly as well as engaging with the community to bring unity.

- Took notes for students with disabilities in various class

- Provided mentoring on academic and college skills to several freshmen students- Empowered students to transition from high school to college- Supported reading, writing, math, and sociology workshops for students and provided one-on-one coursework assistance

- Increase public awareness and information sharing on key dates, resources,and events-Create and design all marketing materials and graphics- Manage Instagram posts and stories for outreach and awareness- Review and edit poems; ensure poems meet regulations and manage submission: provide feedback to authors and ensure poems are finalized

- Worked one on one with students to aid them with reading and writing assignments- Tutored a wide variety of subjects including English, Sociology, Social Work, and more- Skills: patience, role modeling, and friendly attitude
