Zaim Dedic is the CEO and Founder of MIS - New York, a full-service interpretation agency dedicated to providing flawless, on-demand interpretation and translation services. Born and raised in Yugoslavia (Bosnia), Zaim attended Utica College in New York, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. Intending to pursue a career in law, Zaim took an internship with the City Court of Utica, where he used his bilingual background to assist with interpretation needs. Recognizing the growing market for interpretation services in the court, Zaim decided to put law school on hold to open his own translation and interpretation agency in 2005. While first specializing in legal interpretation, Zaim soon branched out into other fields, such as medical, and by 2013, his agency had 60 interpreters on contract. Looking to expand his services and network even further, Zaim re-launched his agency as MIS, where he’s remained dedicated to providing the fastest, most cost-effective solution to interpretation and translation needs. Based in New York, MIS now services over 350 languages via OPI (over the phone) and VRI (video remote interpreting), helping clients throughout the United States stay connected in today’s multilingual world.
