I was selected to be part of the QHIC program (QUEEN'S HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSHIPS IN COMPUTING) in Summer 2021. I worked on automating GitHub tools for dependency management. I used Git and Java to achieve this, and I also used services such as Dependabot, SNYK, and Renovate. This internship has provided me with the opportunity to delve into the workplace and gain valuable industry ready skills that will be crucial to my career.

I was an assistant instructor at a STEM4Kids camp over the summer at Michaelle Jean Public School. My role as an assistant instructor gave me the opportunity to give back to my community while developing my own skills in the field. Working with kids helped me to develop creative skills to keep them engaged and maintain their interest in the subject.
