My journey started with studying Economics at the Institute of Business Administration, cultivating an interest in how the economy and economic policies affect ordinary people, this interest led to a Masters degree in Gender, Development and Globalization at the LSE where I explored how the economic policies impact women and vulnerable communities all over the world. My research interests include:Gender equality in development: Ensuring economic policies and development initiatives empower women and address existing inequities, especially in trade policies and social protection programmes.Impact of capital flows: Analyzing how international financial flows affect gender equality and economic opportunities for women.The care economy and informal economy: Understanding the economic value of care work and the role of the informal sector in development, particularly for women.Economic dynamics of the private sphere: Examining how economic decisions and dynamics within households impact gender roles and equality.I believe a more inclusive and equitable approach to development, where the care economy and informal sector are valued, is crucial for sustainable progress.
