Born in Lebanon, I finished two years of coursework at the American University of Beirut in medical laboratory sciences as a full scholarship student. In 2022, I moved with my family to the US to start over as a pre-engineering at Henry Ford College. From there, I will transfer to study bioengineering at the University of Michigan. After completing my bachelor's degree, my plan is to attend graduate school where I aim to become a cancer research scientist and a professor.As I study, I work as a certified phlebotomist and laboratory assistant at Garden City Hospital.

  - Conduct and analyze results for a variety of medical tests such as COVID, strep, pregnancy, and occult blood tests- Draw blood from veins using butterfly venipuncture method- Match requested laboratory tests to specimen tubes and follow order of draw- Dispose of biohazard wastes in accordance with standards and policies- Coordinate distribution and organization of specimens in need of testing- Train other medical personnel in phlebotomy or laboratory techniques- Use proprietary software system (Epic) to log and track key patient data- Abide by the hospital policies for keeping patients’ privacy
