- Carrying out extensive laboratory analysis and tests- Aiding clinicians in identifying causative agents of various infectious diseases and helping todetermine antimicrobial susceptibility profiles- Measuring the presence of antibodies in blood to indicate infection with agents like HIV- Processing and handling specimens appropriately and in a timely fashion, in a manner that ensuresthat the integrity of the specimen will not be compromised- Maintaining a working knowledge of department standard operating procedures- Attending and actively participating in laboratory meetings, educational seminars and performingother duties as assigned

- Carrying out extensive laboratory analysis and tests, ranging from urine analysis (both microscopicand macroscopic), stool analysis and stool occult blood test (OBT), Acid Fast Bacillus (AFB),Swabs, malaria parasite test, blood test and genotype, full blood count, Hepatitis B, HIV test andWidal test, amongst others- Maintaining a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures, includingspecialized analytical instrumentation, clinical correlation of test results, quality control requirements and preventive maintenance procedures- Supporting the laboratory mission and participating in the continuous quality improvement process- Performing other duties as assigned
