Joined Reich Lab to study Pancreatic Cancer focusing on the YAP1 in combination with kRas proto-oncogenes in the Microbiology and Immunology Department.Conducted mammalian tissue culture work by maintaining, splitting, freezing, thawing, and counting cells. Used HeLa, 293T, and B6 cell lines.Performed CRISPR/Cas9 protocol to "knock out" YAP1 gene by bacterial cloning, PCR, Plasmid Design, DNA sequencing, Transfection of Lentivirus, Western Blots on gene product of cells, and injecting immunocompromised mice to check for tumor growth.Utilized Microsoft Excel to analyze protein concentrations, viral titers, tumor growth in mice over time.

Worked with a team of 8+ researchers in data aggregation and analysis. The work was chiefly dedicated to collecting data from 180+ different sources listed on citations and constructing meta analyses and rebuttal papers from this data.

Wrote multiple articles for Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah website on a variety of subjects pertaining to Fatemid culture, architecture, and events from the standpoint of an alumnus of AJS.

Poster presentation for the TriBeta annual Research Conference.I presented my research project entitled "The Role of the Microbiome in Carcinogenesis" which discussed the link between dysfunction of the gut and skin microbiomes and carcinogenesis.My project was placed in the top three by the judging committee comprised of faculty and visiting professors.
