I currently lead a nationwide operation encompassing the pricing, distribution, and payment of our group stock. Reporting directly into the senior leadership team my role is pivotal in driving profitability and growth within a fast-paced and expanding business.Key Contributions:Overseeing the Stock Control Department with a team of 9, I manage diverse roles covering transport & distribution, pricing, damage recharge, registrations, and our internal car ownership scheme.Setting and delivering on departmental KPIs, I ensure that our operations align with strategic objectives, promoting efficiency and excellence.Compiling and delivering weekly reports, I provide in-depth analysis to the senior leadership team, offering insights into all departmental activities.Leading a weekly stock meeting with senior managers, I make strategic decisions regarding group stock, collaborating closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team.Strategic Planning:Creating a weekly distribution plan, I optimize stock allocation considering store capabilities, store capacities, current sales demand, and overall inventory levels.Developing and implementing a pricing strategy, I contribute towards increasing profit and improving our stock turn.Leadership and Development:Managing a £20 million+ weekly budget for stock payments, I ensure financial efficiency and manage supplier relationships.Driving process improvement, I have developed a team instilled with a problem solving mindset, promoting accountability and a 'right first time' approach.Customer-Centric Approach:Cultivating a high-performing customer service culture, I seek feedback from various stakeholders and redesign services to reflect our internal and external customer needs.Collaborating with IT departments, I act as a point of contact for process improvements, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in my area of specialism.
