I am currently studying a level 4 HNC in building studies through Teesside university (part time, one day a week every Wednesday) and looking for a job or higher degree level apprenticeship in my chosen career field within construction and the built environment.. During this course I cover modules such as construction science, building technology, building management, design principles, tendering and estimating and health and safety. I'm very keen to pursue this as my chosen career path and have already begun studying. I now require a placement which allows me to fully focus on my career aspirations within the building design and management industry.

My role as a roofing technician involves installing Firestone approved EPDM rubber roof systems to houses garages, schools, outbuildings, bay windows, balconies and even industrial roofs. Utilising my joinery skills to build the supporting structure and deck and then installing the rubber membrane followed by flashing techniques required on features. Every job is then finished with fascias, trims and drips and guttering options. A full in depth survey is also carried out on each potential lead to determine the condition and materials required for procurement for each job.
