Award-winning independent filmmaker, cinematographer, and lecturer. Zaki produced and directed his MFA thesis film "Saleh" as his directorial debut and it was selected to compete for the students academy awards (OSCARS) in 2024 and was awarded the Golden Palm Award for Best Short Film at the Saudi Film Festival. Zaki's work is a blend of fiction and nonfiction as a director and producer. Zaki collaborated with international directors as a documentary cinematographer including Emmy Award winner director Marco Williams, Vlad Yudin, and Whisper Production Co (owned by Sony). When not working on films, he works in commercials, mentors young artists, delivers workshops on filmmaking, and teaches part-time film production courses at the university level.
