I have helped start a digital legal consultancy, providing cost effective legal assistance to startups, business people and individuals in Contracts, Corporate Law, Trademarks, Intellectual Property, Immigration and Dispute Resolution. The consultancy has two operational bases, being in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to serve North American Clients, and Manama, Bahrain (via local partners), to serve European, Asian, African and Middle East Clients. At the current time we have clients located in the United States, Canada, Europe (EU), The UK, Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, Australia, Thailand, France, the Caribbean and elsewhere. We are also building our digital business, and aim to fully utilize the digital economy to provide cost effective access to legal services.

I work as a consultant for various local projects and also serve the Director for the Bahrain registered entity of Borderless Counsel (see below).We can assist clients with Business formation (in Bahrain, and abroad, including Europe and the US through partners), immigration and resettlement abroad, business transaction/contracts management and review, business registry management, referrals to law firms and help for students who wish to study abroad.

Legal CounselI manage the in-house contractual and legal affairs of INFINIGENCE CONSULTING and its dealings with external clients for various service areas (including contract review and consultation with the Management Team and the IT division).Management of Compliance ServicesI provide the delivery of Contract Review, Corporate and Commercial Compliance Services, Immigration Services, Data Protection/Intellectual Property Advisory Services (for tech startups and software developers), and Dispute Resolution (Litigation/ADR). I also assist with regulatory compliance, including labor law, anti-money laundering and anti-bribery law compliance and violation prevention.

Provided legal services for a law and business consultancy group. Main focus areas: Corporate, Commercial, Contract, and Immigration law. Clients and client based work is in: United States, Hong Kong, Dubai, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Bahrain and elsewhere.Highlights:-Assisted clients in high value insurance cases, to recover combined sums in excess of AED 2m-Assisted a major global vehicle brand in a collections case in Dubai, to recover USD 100k and exit a distribution agreement effectively-Managed and created the the Immigration Services department, and helped clients obtain status and overcome visa difficulties in the United States and Canada. These included matters involving family sponsorship, student visa and employment based visa categories.-Assisted clients in collections and real estate dispute settlements, for sums in the range of over 200k AED.-Assisted a major ME based events management group in their contracts and commercial dealings for the organization of major concerts in the Kingdom of Bahrain-Managed complex cross-border family law disputes, including divorce cases, involving the intersection of UK common law and the application of Shariah law in the GCC jurisdictions.

Litigation and dispute resolution experience:Successfully settled and won judgments in high liability lawsuits. Litigation services were provided for US legal matters, as well as Middle East Cases, and some matters in Europe, and judgments ranged from USD 200,000 to excess of USD 20,000,000 in some instances (when working as part of a legal team). Contracts Specialization:Negotiated and reviewed over 450 high value contracts across the Americas and EMEA during my career at BDP. Developed expertise in contract law and maritime contracts.Policy Management and Development:Assisted the Company in developing Sales, Credit Control, Ethics, Contract Management and Vendor Vetting Policies among others. Among the tangible outcomes of such projects were improved credit control (Accounts receivable below 10% across the organization), cash flow and collections across the organization, with significant impact on profitability.

Completed an investigation on a Murder case involving an infant child, and submitted my findings to the innocence project for review and further action. The recommendations of my report were followed by the Innocence Project.

Resolved property disputes, health insurance disputes, and obtained insurance for clients when coverage was denied. Successfully represented clients in disputes with public administrative agencies, such as PECO, or the Philadelphia Gas Works, with reference to unpaid bills, electricity shut offs and charges on client accounts. Assisted with legal research and representation in Family law (divorce) and Landlord-tenant disputes.

Legal representation relating to civil rights claims from clients who had experienced discrimination with the government or in employment.
