Primary role is full pharmacy systems support to include all filling software, hardware, networking, procedures, and point of sale register(s). After only a few months on the job took on sole responsibility for a special project that entailed installing new LINUX SUSE 9 HP servers to replace the old SCO OS servers to include data migration of the two, as well as general systems environment upgrades for the store such as new PC's and Laser printers. Project lasted from March of '07 to August '08 and a total of 97 stores were successfully converted. All completed on my personal time from the office or from home if able.In Nov of 07 took on responsibility of Store conversions where we swap out all major system components (server/pc/printers) for new 'common platform' system and convert the store to the PDX filling system. While this is an Implementation Team effort with the coordination, I'm responsible for the actual night of the conversation to direct the techs onsite and technical issue resolution should there be any. This is an ongoing project as we acquire new stores or existing stores convert to our common platform.

Served as a second level support tech to the technicians in the field as well as assistance with other support desk members. As one of two senior tech on a fifteen-man desk, I often helmed the technical support ' bridge' conference line, assisting anywhere from 1-10+ techs at the same time in conjunction with Wal-Mart project support. Primary desk function was Cisco project support for all new (unopened) store routers and switches with primary focus on new Cisco phone systems.

Point of Sale Systems Rollout & Implementation TechMy desk was responsible for the management and support of rollout projects for Wal-Mart POS systems. This ranges from simple machines such as hand-scanners and debit readers to store controllers and registers. My primary roll was tech-lead support for troubleshooting Self-Checkout Lane installs, which included physical install, software support, and WAN / LAN networking support.I also voluntarily became responsible for building and maintaining a web resource used as a general knowledgebase for troubleshooting and a document center. This system started out as only HTML and some CSS, but as it grew maintenance became an issue deployed and integrated a full Content Management System.

2003; Initially, my primary role here was supporting pharmacist with processing prescriptions and insurance on the backend, as well as accounting issues and some hardware support. After six months I began developing training documentation and teaching classes to new hires for the pharmacy desk. I worked with the programming dept. on testing the new versions of software before it was rolled to the chain.
