I always have the same goal in my mind: learn, learn, learn. In the last 25 years of career I always tried to learn something from any situation. I've learned about underwriting, then I've learned about portfolio management, then I've learned about P&L management, then I've learned about distribution models, then I've learned about customer centricity, then I've learned about working with people, now I am learning how is the future of insurance industry.I have learned all of this by doing and things were done by learning.I grew Employee Benefits portfolios, I wrote very Special Risks, launched new products, tested propensity models 10 years ago, re engineered Heath Funds products, hired a team of half dozen persons during the pandemic, managed a business based on Public Tenders, worked on launching 2 MGAs from a insurer point of view and now working to start up a new MGA ready to face new industry challenges.I have insured people on business and leisure trips, even in war situations. I have insured every type of human activity: from school to mountain rescue. I have insured the credit cards, homes and cell phones of millions of people. I have sold policies through agents, brokers, direct sites, aggregators, call centers and applications. I saw the birth of Credit Protection in Italy, managed Embedded Insurance programs when they still didn't have a name and even participated in the unfortunate outcome of one of the first Peer Insurance programs.And I am still hungry to learn

In 2018 the Insurance Distribution Directive accelerated the transformation of the insurance market, the following year the Product Oversight Governance became operational, the application of the Digital Operational Resilience Act is now around the corner. The implementation of each of these directives is substantially transforming insurance processes and models. New methods of distribution and operation such as Embedded Insurance and Open Insurance can only take into account the evolution of Governance in the insurance field. The drive deriving from the use of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence must necessarily be routed along the guidelines set by European regulators.In order to capitalize on the skills acquired and at the same time keep them alive in a rapidly evolving world, I decided to accept a new challenge and lead DRAVE's innovative processes. What does it mean? It means scouting the technological solutions available and adaptable to the insurance world, it means reorganizing the underwriting processes in order to be complicit by design rather than passively undergoing auditing cycles, it means thinking about how to transform insurance products to make them compatible with the Industry revolution 4.0, means objectively certifying that each end customer is offered a solution in line with his needs, it means leaving the dichotomy platform = exchange between efficiency in issuing and flexibility in pricing. This is the work that I have chosen today and that I carry on with DRAVE. -
