I manage an executive board of 16 members and oversee a general body of over 100 students. This role has been incredibly impactful, opening new doors in leadership and allowing me to foster growth, collaboration, and community within the organization. I am deeply grateful to SHPE for the opportunity and feel privileged to lead such an amazing group of individuals committed to advancing Hispanic students in STEM.

I am a member of the Engineering Ambassadors at Penn State, a selective organization focused on inspiring underprivileged and underrepresented children to explore the field of STEM. As part of this role, I develop and deliver lesson plans centered around engineering principles for K-12 students. I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to use my ability to speak Spanish during certain outreach events, which allows me to connect with a wider audience and make STEM more accessible to students from diverse backgrounds.

As an engineering supply chain intern at PepsiCo in Pulaski, Tennessee, I had the unique opportunity to work in a specialty plant functioning as a bakery. My role involved hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and machine learning applications, contributing to optimizing manufacturing processes. I worked closely with mechanics, enhancing my understanding of machinery and equipment, which allowed me to significantly advance my technical skills and deepen my expertise in supply chain operations.

I researched coral acidification levels at the Florids Keys, then compared them to the at home corals I had grown. With this an experiment was born, I created different light settings on each of the three tanks I had to mimic how different light settings can effect coral acidification.
