Profile bio

About Zander Collier

The banner atop my profile hopefully immediately strikes everyone as a joke. I saw the fake advertisement and thought the idea of a 1970s "Mickey Rooney's Potato Fantasy" restaurant was hilarious. Please Google for the full story.Scrum Master at Dexcom. I've really come to appreciate the role and take very earnestly my role in protecting the team, and identifying what I need to do in order to keep honest communication flowing, and to keeping morale high. I'm always on the look out to identify new or novel ways to keep team members engaged. My best strategy to keep team members engaged is to work to earn their trust every day, and in my role when I can, speak for them publicly and privately.Previously, I specialized in the creation and development of software quality assurance practices and procedures for software companies. I pay special attention to both the development and the tailoring of QA practices and procedures to a company. Testing and repeatability are fundamental, but are really just stepping stones to creating and adding value. Creating and adding value to the supply chain is really where I think QA can offer the greatest contributions. I also believe that it is more important to study failures than it is to study successes for improving business processes.I am proud of my ability of being able to explain very technical details of proprietary company systems to non-technical individuals. I am also comfortable with, and enjoy assisting on, sales calls - either to help close a deal, or to educate a new client on what has been purchased. If you believe I might be able to bring value to your company or business, even if it's a casual phone call regarding how something might be better implemented or a process improved, please let me know and I'll be happy to offer my expertise.Specialties: Scrummaster, business analysis, process creation and documentation, development of new QA practices to emerging business models. Change management.Accomplishments: Verification and delivery of systems that processed over $1 billion / year of payments, each for Bank of America, and GE Financial Services; Maintenance of, and verification of improvements made to proprietary systems that processed over $160 million/year in e-commerce transactions and real products delivery; Testing and verification of combined RFID and EAS product suite deployed by Inditex/Zara (Spain & EU), and Macy*s (USA) accounting for multiple billions of dollars in transactions.

Listed skills include Scrum, Testing, Integration, Quality Assurance, and 46 others.

Toyota's RMS system was a mainframe legacy system owned by FICO, but used by Toyota Financial Services for handling recovery of charged off accounts. The project I worked on was a transition off of that FICO based mainframe platform and onto a Salesforce-based platform that was already hosting all of the live and pre-collection accounts. The effort included replicating all existing functionality and building out state-by-state and municipality-by-municipality rules sets based on state- and local- debt collection statutes and interfaces with multiple collection and repossession agencies.I was responsible for reviewing the project, scoping the QA methodology and efforts for the project. This included building the plan, building a budget, soliciting bids for the work, negotiating with vendors for personnel, hiring and building out the team, managing costs, and overseeing all QA delivery efforts.I am proud of having delivered a state-of-the-art working replacement for the original RMS platform (that managed $3 billion in secured and unsecured debt) while also providing enhancements and new reporting for company agents, managers, and executive leadership so they could manage and handle both the portfolio debt, and individual debtors on an ongoing basis while providing much greater visibility.Additional Tracking and reports on the performance of:* The whole debt portfolio* Individual company agents* 3rd party collection agencies* 3rd party repossession agencies* Reports on turnaround of repossessed vehicles and auction resultsAdditional platform improvements:* Improved Salesforce browser-based user interface vs mainframe application (I was also responsible for soliciting agent feedback for improvements; collecting and verifying such improvement have been folded into application)* Improved DB recall and updates on a portfolio of 6 million+ debtors (4 second average vs 16)* Improved debtor data from data cleansing efforts (98% accuracy to 99.5% accuracy)
