General medical practitioner with special interest in aesthetic, functional and integrative medicine

I worked as a senior doctor in the Orthopaedic department where I reported directly to the Head of the Department. I was actively involved in all orthopaedic theatre slates, assisting in major surgeries and leading minor surgeries. Along with theatre cases, I was also responsible for clinic duties and ward rounds where part of my responsibilities included the training and supervision of junior doctors. I was also responsible for weekly academic presentations in the department.I worked for six months in Orthopaedic surgery whereafter I migrated to Neurosurgery to further my knowledge of spinal surgery. In the Neurosurgery department I was responsible for daily ward rounds, clinics and after-hour calls. I was also responsible for all major traumatic brain injuries, interpreting imaging and managing these cases either via surgery or referral to tertiary institutions. In this six months I was also in charge of a neurosurgical High Care unit, along with multiple patients in ICU. In both these departments I was working very close with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring and optimising patient care and outcome.

Two years of medical internship; rotating through the major disciplines and completing all required competences. Rotating through:Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics & Neonatology, Surgery, Trauma, Orthopaedics and Urology, Family and Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine with all sub-specialities.
