Sr. Emergency Management Coordinator
CurrentResponsible for the development and updates of City emergency plans, local hazard mitigation plans that comply with FEMA and State guidelines. Manage the La Quinta Emergency Operations Center and deliver training and exercises for city staff, council, volunteers and community partners. Develop and review requests for proposal (RFPs) for fire department efficiency, fire station upgrades as well as the County’s emergency notification systems. Administer Federal grants and development of the City’s Emergency Management budget. Coordination of initial response, review of technology, messaging and recovery efforts of the COVID-19 Pandemic for the City. Coordinate response and recovery activities across City departments, the County and State in line with FEMA guidelines.
