My role in Lam clinic requires me to juggle various tasks simultaneously, such as listening to the providers, taking notes during patient interviews, entering information into a patient database and writing notes that the providers has dictated. I also verify patient’s information during a virtual appointment and collecting payments before they proceed their appointment with the providers and give them summary of the providers’ recommendations as well as scheduling them for a follow up visit after their appointment. As a medical scribe, I honed my ability to accurately document patient encounters while meticulously follow protocols, and respecting confidentiality to ensure patients' sensitive information remains secure. My experience as a staff nurse equipped me with clinical expertise, compassion, and critical thinking skills to deliver high-quality patient care. Multitasking and being organized are also the essential skills I applied in scribing which I learned from being a staff nurse. Additionally, my time as an ESL teacher highlighted my adaptability, communication skills, and cultural sensitivity, enabling effective interaction with diverse individuals. These diverse roles have uniquely prepared me to excel in various professional settings and contribute positively to any team or organization.
