I am an undergraduate Elementary Education major with a concentration in Special Education at the University of West Georgia. My goal of serving in underprivileged and underfunded schools is all a part of my fight against educational inequalities and systemic injustices in education. The school-to-prison pipeline causes a a disproportionate number of minority students to drop out or be expelled from schools and fall into the hands of our criminal justice system. Being an educator and advocate for these kids is what I believe my purpose is and driving force for my fight for educational equitability.
