As a Lead Designer, my role is to be hands-on with the product & design process from start to finish often as the founding designer sometimes as part of a cross-functional team — this includes:- Connecting with relevant teams and stakeholders and communicating a design vision (PRDs)- Doing Generative Research with tools like Dovetail- Communicating findings and defining a UX strategy- Moving the project through the different stages of the design process- Ideation, Sketching & Workshopping- Wireframes & low-fidelity reviews- User Testing - Client requirement validation (B2B)- High-fidelity interaction & visual design- Motion graphics & animation (Lottie & Rive)- Developer handoff- Design Systems- UX Engineering (React, NextJS)- A/B Testing- Quantitative Analysis (Mixpanel, Amplitude, HotJar, etc.)There was a special focus on clients from Seed to Series A, helping establish conversion, retention and monetisation.

- Led the Product department which consisted of Product Managers, Designers, BAs and UI Engineers.- Grew the team from 2 to 10 and helped double ARR from £1m to £2m- Core responsibilities include defining and managing the roadmap and prioritising across 5 engineering teams alongside the CTO.- Managing product requests and needs from different departments like Customer Success, CSMs, Sales, Engineering and Marketing.- Helped craft and launch the unique Thrive Skills offering which helped us close multiple new deals and empower existing clients.- Managed the mobile development that helped close major enterprise clients.

At OakNorth I worked as the product designer for the Insights squad.Our platform mission was to enable investors to understand, interpret and action insights into borrowers and sectors, helping them make better investment decisions and giving them a proactive view on how their current investments are changing over time, helping drive the vision of creating the world's first credit intelligence platform.I championed the end-to-end design for all features produced by the squad — working closely with the Product Manager and developers. Features developed in our squad had a strong focus on designing for big data and visualisations across thousands of sectors and millions of transactions.

As the Product Design Lead at Stairway Learning my job is to ensure the highest quality of design is upheld in both Web and iOS, helping build and expand the product design & research function within the organisation in alignment with our ultimate goal of inspiring the next generation of STEM learners.In my time at Stairway, I created the design system and initial design ops processes to ensure a consistent pipeline of design, ready for handover.I also worked on formalising and facilitating the research process aiming to have at least 3 user interviews/usability tests per design sprint ensuring that all designs are validated before handover.As the iOS app was developed further we managed to be featured as App of the Day on Apple as well as ranking as one of the top downloaded apps.We were also featured on BBC Bitesize for our learning experience on web.

As the Product Owner and UX Lead for this incubator startup, I lead a small cross-functional team within the parent company Leadhome. My goal was to achieve market fit with our online mortgage origination process and give the company the foundation it needs to grow to its full potential in the market. I lead a small cross-functional squad responsible for Mortage Origination, Agent Tools and the customer Buying & Selling Platform.As a team, we solved complex real estate UX challenges, investigating the user needs of over 100000+ users per month. We were extremely data- and research-focused as everything we did directly affected the bottom line.Rapid prototyping and wireframing new experiences and designing a pixel perfect UI to create a delightful, meaningful and loveable journey. This all to disrupt the real estate industry in a way that creates real value for the end-user.

At Sovtech I worked in the Product Labs team, with the primary focus to design solutions to client needs and help their vision come to life. In my time at Sovtech I worked on over 30+ products from sports betting to digital memorials to transforming a board game into an app.As a UX Specialist, my role was to champion projects from beginning to end and to take lead on a growing UX department, collaborating with clients to gather requirements and design the products and experiences that solve their business needs.My day to day involved:- Client facing meetings- Requirements Gathering, Discovery & Product Evaluation- Wireframing & Prototyping- Information Architecture- UI Design- Developer Handover

As a UX designer at Fuse, we participated in the end-to-end design process from discovery to final handover. Working with Product Managers and CSMs we aimed to understand the learning problems of customers like EY, Oracle and Vodafone using needfinding techniques.We rapidly prototyped ideas against personas and worked with different stakeholders in the business to converge on the best solution across all clients. Our role also extended to UI design. We were tasked with solving visual design problems with elegant clean design while developing the internal design system.

As a member of the implementation team, my role entailed customising and integrating white labelled e-learning instances for clients. The role was part design, part development — mostly working with API’s and designing and coding clean UI interfaces for employees to use. Working with a project manager we had to design and scope the customisation of their unique platform including custom widgets (API-driven javascript iframes) and styling overrides. Languages and frameworks included React, Javascript, JQuery, SCSS.

As a Motion Graphics Designer, my job was to create unique content that solves learning challenges through animation. I worked in a team of 15 animators, doing everything from storyboarding to creating assets to crafting the final animation.Working with many different brands we needed to constantly switch approaches stylistically while upholding brand style guidelines. We had high standards to deliver world-class animation videos with short turnaround times.

My first official job as a UI/UX Designer when the company was still Mansystems. As a company, we designed custom software using our packaged backend solutions. My role as the South African in-house designer was to design conceptual mockups for pitches as well as designing the final bespoke experiences for our clients.I was also tasked with creating motion graphic animations for our clients to help promote training for their newly built application, showcasing the features to their organisation.I also had the occasional project which required some light front-end coding to build and maintain our website and blog. (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
