Assistant Mechanical Technician for the Company’s Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) Foam Production Facility located in Arima, Trinidad. Responsibilities include the daily technical support necessary to maintain safe and reliable operation of the mechanical equipment used in the production of Styrotex®. The equipment includes molding machines, pumps, loss in weight feeders, extruders, blowers, conveyors, cutters, packaging equipment, boilers, air compressors and other associated support plant machinery. The position requires the provision of technical support for specification, identification and purchasing of needed parts and ensure spare parts are inventoried and available. The post also requires that one understands and work closely with the plant operations team to trouble shoot and optimize performance of the plant and comply with the health and safety policies upheld by the company.

The maintenance of hospital equipment including, compressors, vacuum generators, distiller equipment, gas outlets, fire extinguishers, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic beds, trolleys, operating tables, cribs, reclining chairs, etc.

Designed and built disaster relief tent prototype intended for deployment in situations of natural/major disasters. The singular relief tent interlocks in a plurality of orientations with others to create a tent city.
