I am a Graduate student at the University of North Texas, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. I do graduate research under Dr. Marcus Young in designing dense bulk composites for armor applications, innovative alloy coatings for forging die applications, and sharp leading edge thermal protection systems for hypersonic re-entry vehicle applications. I have a broad range of hands-on experience with material processing techniques, characterization instruments, mechanical property testing, computational modeling, finite element analysis, and technical reporting/presenting.Repeated exposure to diverse groups of people from my work and life experiences such as bartending, playing club water polo overseas, and front manning a band have all developed my ability to perform concise decision making in high stress situations where good social acuity is invaluable. I am confident in my technical experience in material processing technologies and background in leadership. I look forward to using my skills and experience to their full potential.
