During my tenure as an Intermediate Software Engineer, my focus was largely on picking up as many technologies as possible and diving deep into being capable across various areas of software, including: 1. Mobile2. Web 3. Enterprise4. Database 5. and even some IOT and integrated devices. During this time, I worked at Standard Bank on the www.looksee.co.za mobile app (built in React Native).Looksee.co.za became a staple for many people seeking a home or looking to make changes to their home. Shortly after we had completed the app, we pivoted to the main website development and support (React and Node) through the initial launch up until about the start of 2023. I was heavily involved with the initial architecture and design of the Home Solar functionality that Looksee has become famous for. This heavily transformed the local solar market at a time when residential solar was desperately needed and had a very high barrier to entry for a large number of South Africans. I also architected and developed the initial MVP of an unreleased mobile app (React Native) for Standard Bank.

I joined Entelect as part of their Graduate bootcamp programme. I was then assigned to a telecom project where I have spent the remainder of my time so far. Skills and languages used in this project: - Dotnet Core 2.2+- Vue.js 2.3- NativeScript Vue- Javascript- HTML - SCSS/SASS- CSS

I started writing articles (specifically in the field of consumer computing) for a publication by the name of Geeknode (where I later became an Editor) and continued writing articles for other local publications (on a freelance basis) including Mweb GameZone. I also did general website development during this period of time.

I managed a team of technology writers for the publication as well as editing articles and sourcing any products that the writers wanted to create content about. This also included building relationships with some of the biggest technology brands in the country and attending events hosted by those companies.

I joined the company in the final period of developing a Web application for a client. I did both front-end and some back-end work on the application as well as provided application support after it went live (including staff instruction). This also included miscellaneous SQL and database work that the clients required to interface with the application.
