Localization Specialist
Current1. Translating video games and other related texts into English, Russian, and Belarusian in line with guidelines, requirements, and due dates from the customer.2. Providing quality control of the Russian and English translations (editing translations in Russian and English, working with proofreaders and in-house localization quality control teams, searching for reference materials, using glossaries, etc.).3. Working with tools for localization, translation, and process organization, such as Sisulizer, SmartCAT, version control systems, SalesForce, MS Office, JIRA, Subtitle Edit, etc.).4. Coordinating and assessing work of the distributed team of vendors (freelance translators, localization agencies). 5. Collaborating with the development team and other stakeholders in order to ensure the best possible quality of localized assets.6. Transcribing videos (RU, EN), editing/translating video scripts and preparing them for the voiceover; creating subtitles in accordance with the department and industry standards. 7. Creating and maintaining term bases (glossaries) for new/existing projects.
