Nutrition and Food Security Project- Keeps M&E system up to date, incl. context indicators - Ensures that the use of monitoring tools (such as templates, forms, questionnaires) is consistent and when needed, design new tools for data collection - Trains colleagues and partners in how to use the forms and templates and on data collection and regular monitoring activities - Coordinates the timely collection of accurate project data from field officers and partner organizations, in line with the M&E system design - Ensures that the data collected are clean and safe (keep an accurate database to store and manage M&E data)- Conducts regular visits to project sites to assess progress and impact of project activities - Prepares monthly monitoring reports and indicator tracking tables - Holds regular meetings with implementing partners to discuss M&E data- Liaises with project manager and prepares for monitoring and evaluation missions - Assists with mid-term and end-term reviews and project evaluations- Draws up reports and presentations and contributes to information sharing- Documents best practices and shares with partners - Providing input for reports to the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the EU - Supporting the information, communication and public relations work of the project by providing results data- Arranges field visits for visitors and GIZ personal and provides all necessary project information prior to the visits- Focal point of Gender and Sustainability Mainstreaming

Cities and Infrastructure Growth in Myanmar (CIG-M)- Track, record and report progress against Result Measurement Plans, Result Chains and log-frame indicators in consultation with the different work-streams and MEL Advisor. - Provide technical assistance in developing MEL processes and implementation aligned to program management.- Regularly assess the feasibility of the M&E format implementation and introduce appropriate modifications, as and when required. - File program reports and other supporting document in the program’s MEL platform. - Follow up with field staff to obtain relevant document supporting implemented activities. - Identification and documentation of lessons and best practices, the sharing and dissemination of knowledge and experience as part of the adaptive reflection and learning process. - Collecting or compiling success stories, good practices and case studies for wider dissemination outside of CIG-M team. - Support the MEL Advisor in conducting reflection and learning events. - Collecting data against the program’s value for money. - Collect, compile consolidated progress reports (monthly, quarterly, annual progress reports) for project management in accordance with the agreed reporting formats. - Report to the Team Leader (or alternately Program Manager) on progress vis-à-vis planned activities and expected outputs of the project. - Undertake regular visits to the field to evaluate project performance and disseminate to the team.

 Work closely with the Senior MEL Specialist and Technical Teams to establish mechanisms for data collection and timely reporting procedures ensuring compliance with USAID and Winrock policies and procedures; Contribute to the implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) plans, strategies and work plans; Ensure quality control and rigorous monitoring and evaluation to measure progress, track effectiveness, and provide continuous assessment of progress;  Support the documentation of best practices and lessons learned, application to program activities, and dissemination of information to stakeholders; Conduct data analyses using both manual approaches as well as data analysis software; Collaborate with the Technical and Contracts Teams to ensure quality data collection, monitoring and reporting by grantees;  Conduct capacity building sessions with VCRD Staff and Partners on basic concepts of M&E, as well as compliance with USAID and Winrock policies and procedures; Ensure the VCRD MEL database system is updated on a regular basis; Provide input to MEL reports, as well as quarterly, annual and final performance reports to USAID; Help conducting research studies on external factors to inform the decision making;  Other duties as assigned.
