I am an undergraduate researcher at University of Illinois Chicago, where I work alongside a PhD candidate conducting research in sickle cell disease and gene expression. I will graduate from University of Illinois Chicago in Spring 2024 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. I am also the captain of the Women's Tennis Team at UIC. In my current role, I apply my skills and knowledge to support the research project, which aims to find solutions to the illness that affects millions of people worldwide. I perform various tasks, such as preparing samples, running experiments, analyzing data, and writing reports. I also collaborate with other researchers and students, sharing ideas and feedback, and learning from their expertise and perspectives. I am passionate about advancing the scientific understanding of human health and disease, and contributing to the development of innovative and effective therapies. I am eager to join a team that shares this vision and values, and that can offer me the opportunity to grow and excel as a researcher.
