After working as a Marketing and Business Development Consultant in-house at creative businesses for many, many years, I've made it official and launched a company with the honed values and offering which I believe is relevant for today and the future. From audits and workshops to positioning, writing copy, marketing strategies and more; we help agencies get better known.

In July 2016, I became self-employed and worked freelance for creative agencies (including YourStudio) helping raise business profiles, writing marketing and business development strategies, executing PR activity while championing growth and development. It is my passion to grow businesses to their fullest potential across various the functions necessary, and I am always up for the challenge of building something great with inspirational people and strong creative talent. I freelanced before and after living in Canada, during which I worked for DesignAgency and then set up the business, EXT MKTG, based on the idea of servicing more agencies.

YourStudio is an insight-led creative design studio based in Shoreditch, London and working with businesses, brands and retailers on creating customer-led experiences. As marketing lead and business development champion for the London studio, I was responsible for new business generation, marketing and client liaison as well as assisting implement the business plan for the company directors. I compiled business development and marketing strategies for the next year and set company goals for the next 5 years. We then worked on further marketing projects and gaining traction with PR and our own events held at the studio.

When I had just moved to Toronto, I obtained a full-time position working for one of the top interior design firms in Canada. DesignAgency is a global award-winning design firm based in Toronto, with further studios in LA and Barcelona. The studio is multidisciplinary uniting Interior Design, Strategic Branding with Visual Communication. With an international portfolio of projects working for leading companies, developers, restaurateurs, retailers and hoteliers, each client works directly with one or more of our partners, reflecting the belief that great design requires leadership, focus and commitment.My role here was forming the BD and Marketing function, writing proposals, pitches and contracts and then all things Marketing. Such as helping to manage the PR agency, website team, manage and update the website and all company literature with new projects, attend networking events and conferences, and liaise with clients to initiate promoting the completed projects.

Design Clarity offers innovative interior design solutions for your space within the retail and hospitality sectors. Working with a diverse client base delivering everything from bespoke first-time concepts to multinational big-brand rollouts. With an Australian background and UK presence allows for an interesting mix of global inspiration and unconstrained ideas.My role here was to run the UK office on behalf of the Founders and Directors based out of Sydney. I was responsible for new business, marketing, PR, leading the team and everything that wasn't design!

London-based brand strategy and design consultancy. Harrison:Fraser are specialists in the creation of successful destination brands for regions, cities, towns, commercial and mixed-use developments. My role was to work with the company founder's on new business however the role was better suited to a more junior person.

20.20 is a strategic design consultancy specialising in retail and leisure, well established and famous in the industry. Notorious clients in their long history include Virgin Megastore, Sainsburys, B&Q and Arsenal FC. My role at 20.20 was to find new business opportunities, communicate with existing clients, implement marketing strategies, attend industry events and conferences and run the PR function of the company. Fast-paced role working for seven directors and responsible for a lot of aspects of the business.

When I worked for Castle Trust, their niche was index-linked tracker mortgages and investments and I was selected for the role to form part of the sales team as they started up. Complications arose and the sales team were let go within the year but it was a good experience at a financial start-up, working amongst intellectuals bringing to market innovative financial products. As the Business Development Manager, my role included the management and distribution of the Investment Products to Intermediaries throughout the UK and assist the Managing Director.

Financial Express is a global investment fund data company. I worked in sales specialising on the Trustnet website. While learning about investment and wealth management industry, I managed hundreds of clients and pitched for New Business (to Marketing Managers, CEO's and Directors). My role also included planning online marketing campaigns, and implementing sponsorship and advertising campaigns. I excelled all sales targets set by the company.This role taught me how to generate new clients and account manage existing clients and how to absorb myself into a different sector to learn the ropes fast.

This was my first full-time job post graduation, working as an Account Executive across all FMCG brands and also worked as Event Coordinator for all experiential brand activations .Clients included; LA Fitness, Smirnoff Black, Kickers & KangaROOs (of Pentland Group), Jose Cuervo Platino, Big Yellow Storage, Marmite, Bulleit Bourbon Originals and Blossom Hill.Responsibilities included delivering below the line PR tasks such as; brand campaign presentations, managing media relationships and press office, arranging press and public events and evaluating campaign success. Marketing-wise experience included analysis of market competitors, organised internal and client update meetings and the management brand positioning for clients.
