Provide technical oversight, support and advice to the Canadian High Commission’s (CHC) Gender Equality Team (GET) with respect to gender equality and women’s empowerment in Bangladesh as a matter of equitable distribution of power, influence and resources in society. Provided guidance and input in the application of GAC’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP) and the GoB gender equality regulatory and policy frameworks. • Review, monitor and evaluate Rohingya humanitarian and development assistance projects and ensure all the activities aligned with FIAP.• Review GAC Bangladesh Dhaka Assistance (DA) documents related to gender equality and women's empowerment and provide written analysis and advice on best practices. • Led the development, implementation, and evaluation of a local and national level ‘child protection advocacy’ for children’s wellbeing in Bangladesh. Instituted policy advocacy to promote mental health awareness and support framework by unlocking commitment through institutions. Tracked the impact of local and national level advocacy leading to child’s right/protection related policy influence/implementation.• Developed advocacy for institutional capacity to introduce mental health first aid in academic institutions. Provide technical support to establish psycho-social counsellors in schools. • Developed collaborative relationships with senior level policy makers and government ministers, INGO, NGO, UN agencies, local NGOs, churches, educational institutions, and other civil society groups• Policy advocacy for mental health, child marriage, GBV is integrated in academic institutions.• Provided technical support and direction to ensure the effective implementation of social accountability and promote campaigns especially on GBV leading to policy advocacy • Engaged pro-actively with key policy makers, donor, partners, and audiences to enhance and influence changes of policy and practiced ensuring child wellbeing of most vulnerable children.
