Zachary Aronson uses blowtorches to paint on wood with fire, exploring relationships between man and nature through the use of organic materials and primal tactics.  The larger than life faces he creates are exposed and vulnerable, visceral and raw, created using a traditionally destructive element.  Aronson views his artistic practice as a collaboration with nature, instilling new purpose and identity by transforming wood to ash in the primal fusion of fire and earth. A Los Angeles native, Aronson recieved his undergraduate degree in fine art from USC in 2012 and his graduate degree from CalArts in 2016.  He currently works as an artist, producer, and set designer in Culver City and has had 8 solo gallery shows to date.The artist is available for live pyrography at special events.
