Manage relationships with parents to ensure consistent communication for care of the children, as well as teaching children necessary academic & social skills through lesson planning & role model behavior.

Teaching children ages 3-17 and adults during several daily Tae Kwon Do programs. Working with other instructors to ensure safe fitness experience. Educating participating members about stranger awareness and bullying prevention. Eckerd College

Assisted with community events involving spirituality and current news, such as Passions with Professors and Dorm Discussions. Helped with office management tasks like answering correspondence, running errands around campus, and processing financial forms. Participated in many formal dinners for guests invited by CSL to give a lecture to the student body and public. Provided feedback and acted as a liaison between Eckerd students and trustees to the school, Spiritual Life Council Members and academic scholars who have presented at Eckerd.

Eckerd College

The EC Composting program has been designed to encourage composting as a sustainable practice for members of Eckerd College. Encouraged students and faculty to compost and collected compost materials from across campus to deliver to compost areas. The end product is nutrient rich soil to be used for the campus garden and members of Eckerd College.

Located in upstate NY, the camp focuses on teaching children ages 8-14 wilderness skills and minimalist living. Activities such as instruction swim and canoeing were available along with knifework, stonework, and firemaking. Camp counselors instruct such activities as well as live with the children in large tents. Hiking trips and activities where the children learned to cook over an open fire were once a week.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

Participated in a course that helped organize the Food Sustainability Conference at Eckerd College on April 24-26, 2015. As a member of the panel, I was able to contribute my acquired knowledge and research with others in the class and in the scientific agricultural community into a "think tank". Over the course of the weekend, the members of the conference collectively analyzed several research reports discussing topics such as genetically altered organisms, perennial crops and food waste. We compiled a document that included these topics and concepts concerning productivity of agricultural systems and this involved educated individuals who had discussed the topic in depth. Policymakers are able to request this material to provide ideas for strategies in order to install more sustainable and economical decisions in their region.

My role as an instructor was to create lesson plans and instruct the karate program for children ages 3-12. There were various classes for different levels of experience and ages. I always was seen as a leader and as a role model, my goal was to always maintain a positive and hopeful attitude for the parents and children involved with our school. My role as a front desk clerk was to compute bills, collect payments, and other bookkeeping tasks as well as plan and organize events within school and in community to engage camaraderie and raise program awareness.
