Period & Duration 03 DECEMBER 2012 to 30 JUNE 2014Job Responsibilities - Monitor and ensure that all shipyard operations conform to all statutory requirements.- Enforce shipyard’s HSE rules and regulations.- Assists in the formulation of HSE procedures and safe work practices.- Oversee all safety aspects of vessels under construction or repair.- To advise line supervision on issues pertaining to safety and health legislations.- Supervise and guide Safety personnel deployed onboard vessel.- Investigate serious incidents, fires and dangerous occurrences in the yard and submit reportsaccordingly.- Assist in planning and implementation of safety promotional activities.- Perform risk assessment to enhance the safety of work processes.- Conduct regular inspections of vessel and workshops.- Be responsible for the overall safety and health of the work force under his supervision andcharge.- Participate in the preparation and execution of safe work procedures, environmental controland emergency procedures.- Carry out gas freeing of vessels and issuance of various Permit-To-Work permits.- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements by all employees working within the shipyard.- Ensure all safety equipment is maintained in proper working condition.- Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
