I am a Material Control Co-Op at Mazak North America, a leading manufacturer of advanced machine tools and automation systems. In this role, I am learning how to manage the flow of materials from suppliers to production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timeliness. I have shadowed the AS/RS department, where I witnessed how materials are received, sorted, and distributed to the production floor. I am now moving to the purchasing department, where I will assist with ordering and managing materials from various suppliers, negotiating prices, and resolving issues.I am also a sophomore at Northern Kentucky University, majoring in Global Supply Chain Management. I am passionate about learning how to optimize the flow of goods and services across the world, and how to create value for customers and stakeholders. Besides my academic and professional interests, I have four years of experience at Silverlake the Family Place, where I work as a swimming instructor, a lifeguard, and an aquatic manager. I enjoy teaching and coaching people of all ages and abilities, as well as ensuring safety and quality standards. I am a team player, a problem solver, and a lifelong learner.
