Bashar Mohammad is an accomplished asset management professional with over 9 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, and process automation. He is highly skilled in the areas of performance modeling, condition assessment, maintenance optimization, and life-cycle analysis of infrastructure assets. Bashar currently works as a Senior Consultant at WSP, where he leads multiple projects for transit agencies including MBTA, NYCT, MTA and State DOTs including Virginia, Oklahoma, and Connecticut.Prior to WSP, Bashar worked as a research faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder, where his work focused on leveraging uncertain sensor data and machine learning to improve data driven asset management processes. At the Innovation for Resilient Infrastructure lab, he led multiple research projects to develop intelligent infrastructure condition assessment tools and performance prediction models which are currently in production for several DOTs and transit agencies.Bashar holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Engineering and Management. He has a strong background in python, GIS, machine learning, and image processing. His works have resulted in 14 peer-reviewed journal articles, 20 conference papers and presentations, and multiple awards throughout his career.
