The division's advisory work focuses on multiple aspects of overall plan management such as investment committee, Investment Policy Statement (IPS) consulting and monitoring, ongoing investment option due diligence, fee bench-marking, request for proposal oversight, proper retirement plan design, alternative matching and profit sharing structures, and targeted participant education strategies and can provide a unique perspective in the 401(k) and 403(b) markets. They are able to do this first and foremost because of their ability to work on a fee rather than commission basis. This helps to ensure that evaluations of any retirement platform are objective and based solely on merit.
