I grew up in in the North Texas area and graduated from Reedy High School in May 2022. Currently I am a student at UNT in the Cybersecurity department and working towards my bachelor’s degree and with a minor in Japanese. I have been attending UNT since the fall of 2022 and about to finish my spring of 2023 semester. I am planning on graduating with my undergrad degree in the spring of 2026. I am a hardworking student that always strives to improve. I took my K-12 studies serious and graduated Reedy High School with a 3.4 GPA. I am skilled at communication and have learned to communicate clearly and be detailed oriented during tense situations. I’m skilled with customer experience management, time management, able to multi-task, and enjoy teamwork. These skills lead me to success at small jobs I’ve taken during summers. I grew up in a household that understood technology. Thanks to my dad, I was always learning new software, building computers, and learning new features within the evolving tech industry. Because of that experience, I’ve grown to understand a lot about technology and online communication from a young age. I have been fascinated with communication through the internet since I was young when my dad gave me my first laptop. It showed me different ways people communicate online and allowed me to view traffic streams from all sorts of connections from all over the world. Since then, I’ve been engrossed in how people use the internet and how it has been weaponized. With that, I have yet to have firsthand experience within the Cybersecurity field, but I have been researching and interviewing people in the field. My goals are to continually learn and improve my understanding of the Cybersecurity field. I see every opportunity as a learning experience, big or small there is always something that can be taken away from anything. With the Cybersecurity field I want to analyze and research how networks communicate, the security that is needed and understand how it all works together. I’ve always had a curiosity to know how things work and wanting to improve them. This was taught to me at a young age from my dad, as he told me to always question and understand things that I was curious about. I apply this approach when I learn anything about Cybersecurity.
