I am an engineer driven by efficiency, collaboration, and innovation. I have over 2 years of working experience in the automotive battery industry, and 4 years of intern experience in the defense industry. I am an adaptable and fast learner who embraces new challenges, whether in mastering new skills or tackling difficult problems.I am highly motivated by optimizing efficiency, and I greatly enjoy creating and streamlining systems to increase the quantity and quality of work. For example: exporting, retrieving, logging, analyzing, reformatting and graphing performance and life testing data is done daily in the lab, and analyzing a single set of data manually takes 1 to 2 hours. I saw an opportunity to create a system that would dramatically reduce this time. Using VBA code, I developed several programs to perform these tasks that once took up to 2 hours in approximately 2 minutes, making laboratory tasks over 30x more efficient while eliminating inevitable human error.As a team-oriented extrovert, I excel when collaboratively solving problems and designing solutions. I have strong leadership skills that extend beyond my position title; for example, many new employees have consistently sought out my advice and looked to me for leadership. My reliability, positive attitude, and desire for feedback and growth has helped me to become a stronger collaborator, and this has become an extremely rewarding aspect of my work.After my experiences in the automotive battery industry, I am passionate about working with more innovative and sustainable energy technologies.
