The Big Picture:To create a full-length documentary focused on the Wicked East End Music Showcase experience.On a smaller scale, to create a serial highlighting our performing artists and Houston's East End.Our video and photography crews will create compelling footage from six stages in five venues featuring fifty performing artists. We will extend non-exclusive licensing to each of our content creators, and thank them profusely in any publicly shared digital properties which incorporate their work.We'll tie the content together with fan reactions and interactions; venue-specific stories; volunteer experiences; and travel between the venues on our event shuttles.Our purposes:1. To provide marketing content for our performing artists;2. To Create "resume building" opportunities for our videographers and photographers;3. To provide branding opportunities to our venues and sponsors; 4. To showcase the East End Cultural District, and ultimately raise Houston's profile as a destination city for music and art lovers.5. To market our digital content commercially, thereby assuring our event's future

South by Southwest produces a myriad of events annually, including:SXSW edu; SXSW eco; and SXSW gaming. The "main event" in March now includes: SXSW Comedy; Film; Fashion; Interactive; Music; and Sports.I've had the distinct pleasure and privilege of supporting the official SXSW photo crew since March of 2008. The unique "behind the scenes" access to everything that's "trending" year-by-year is invaluable. Experiencing world-class keynote speakers in all the areas above is easily equivalent to a college-level education.
