With a highly fragmented industry, many owners at retirement age and stable growth, we see a tremendous opportunity in eye care. Furthermore, the cost of chronic eye conditions is expected to rise from $140 billion (as estimated by a study in 2012) to greater than $700 billion in the next few decades brought on by an aging population. Additionally, this growth is insulated by market cycles as chronic conditions require ongoing treatment and care. Given this opportunity at hand, this is the perfect time to transform the industry.
