I led the on-time delivery of a $3.4M grant application to Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC). The application was accepted for a partial award of $1.5M, which has enabled for RideFlag’s project to move into the next phase of development. I coordinated a remote team, meeting daily to successfully deliver the 100+ page application in the first six weeks of my contract. To achieve this, I developed a project work plan, coordinated tasks, and monitored the timeline to completion.I applied engineering principles to model the annual emissions reduction at peak commercialization. As well, I assisted in forecasting the project’s $9.1M budget. I was in weekly communication the CEO, CTO and SDTC Investment Lead (Rob Abernathy). Additionally, I participated in the application review process and represented RideFlag by answering inquiries from SDTC and external academic reviewers.I also provided additional technical documentation and project management services, including request for proposal (RFP) responses and grant applications that earned an additional $75,000 in funding.

souslaface.comI designed and monitored the project timeline for the launch of a medical spa, utilizing $500,000 in start-up capital. The company’s flagship location in Yorkville, Toronto was successfully opened on time and within budget.I collaborated with the Founder to develop the company’s business plan, revenue growth model, and marketing strategies. I also developed 200+ pages in technical documents, standard operating procedures, and policy manuals - which were used for employee training, business branding, and Health Canada compliance. As a side project for the Founder, I used my Chemical Engineering skillsets to conduct early research on the formulation a line of luxury, sustainable skincare products. I advised the Founder on the next steps of the procurement process; researching sustainable ingredients, developing products, arranging lab analysis, identifying material suppliers/manufacturers, and conducting financial modelling.
