From the Holocaust to today’s extremism, there's so much evidence of the ugly power of propaganda, but I believe that the positive potential of marketing and communications could transform the world. For the past seven years, I have spent my career trying to tell more compassionate and motivating stories to fuel social missions. My time in nonprofit fundraising and marketing has included five years growing a community organization I Grow Chicago from less than $200,000 to over $2 million as Director of Development, helping 12 grassroots nonprofits grow their brands and fundraising strategies as a nonprofit consultant with Women Unite!, and heading marketing for an employee giving startup Daymaker. At Fuqua, it has been incredibly rewarding to learn about other pathways to creating change, including impact investing, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. As a nonprofit fundraiser, I loved developing communications strategies, building partnerships across sectors, and creating impact metrics and systems. Moving forward, I'd like to sustain impact for even more organizations through nonprofit strategy or development roles.
