About Zena Abdullahi, Mph

Personal Profile: I am honest, reliable, diligent and a good team worker and a hard working person. I am able to work under pressure, under supervision and on my own initiative. I am ready to learn from colleagues as well as from supervisors and to give back in what I may be talented in accordance to the work assigned. Career Interest: My aim is not only to advance in my career path, but also to see better health outcomes in the community due to my contribution in bettering those health outcomes. For long term, I am specifically interested in Sub Sahara Africa and the MENA region due to the many health disparities, lack of funds and poor infrastructure. I am willing to contribute in maximizing the use of the available resources for programs that will ensure better health outcomes in this part of the world, especially among women and children. For short term, my main goal is to gain experience in different public health fields to fine-tune my focus. I am also very interested in post-secondary education and in being a health- educator because I believe that the number one source of better health outcomes is health literacy.
