Are successful entrepreneurs born or made? Well I wouldn’t know. I just know that I will become one.After graduating with a Bachelor degree in Advertising from Lasalle SIA, I started working for a small branding firm and I left the job in six months. Immediately I started an advertising firm. As a young entrepreneur, nothing was easy and with the decline of advertising in the 2000s, I had to pivot the business into photography and videography. So in 2013, Lumiere Photography Pte. Ltd was created. Our team essentially changed the landscape of Business to Consumer photography by working with Groupon when e-commence was on the rise. We managed to lower the cost to consumers by nearly 90% and acquiring a massive network of clients within a short period of time.Within 2 years, the number of photography firms adopting our business model increased tremendously and the market became much saturated, thus I pivoted the company into Business to Business services with the massive amount of network gathered. We now specialised in working with companies ranging from MNCs all the way to our Government entities in their photo and video productions as well as content creation. Being awarded the Promising SME500 in 2015 was the first endorsement that we are moving on the right track.In additional to my role in business development for Lumiere Photography Pte Ltd. I have also started a range of business during the past decade and I am currently working on a new digital venture focusing on community-building and filling up the missing link.
