Recipient, PTSGI Annual Exemplary Translator Award 2016, 2017At PTSGI, a Taiwan-based international translation service provider, I served as one of the chief evaluators for new candidate translators in the categories of marketing and gaming. Also, as an in-house translator, I was responsible for localizing texts across multiple categories, and was often the go-to person for texts requiring a more "creative" touch. During my time with PTSGI, I have localized triple-A game titles from both international and domestic publishers alike, from the likes of Activision to Tencent; translated video commercials from Samsung/Jaguar; and transcreated lyrics from the renowned Taiwanese band "Mayday" in 2016, as well as a poetry/prose photobook published in 2015. I have also taken on a trainee translator and given lectures on subtitle translations internally to other in-house translators.

At NOWON, a new international facial mask company, I was brought on as the localized marketing consultant/copywriter/chief translator for their debut product and website for the US/Canadian markets. I was tasked with ensuring both the final product design and marketing materials were engaging to the potential customers; thus, I was involved in the transcreation/copywriting of marketing materials, website texts, as well as partially involved in the visual/packaging designs of the product as an advisor due to my background in visual arts and design.

At Ansarpi 3D Studio, a Taiwan-based 3D animation/post-production studio, I served as a full-time animator and storyboard artist. My job involved digital composition, animation, texturing, storyboard, and conceptual art. I was involved in the post-production of a local Taiwanese TV series, an animated short, as well as a big-budget Taiwanese movie, The Arti: The Adventure Begins (奇人密碼－古羅布之謎).

At Sun Arts & Productions, a famed Taiwan-based advertising agency/production studio, I was a project-based full-time employee. I served as the main visual designer for their New Energy popular science series website; subtitle translator for their award-winning international science film series “To Promise A Clean Future: New Energy”, “Our Choice: How to Solve the Climate Change Problems”, and the featured film “To Promise A Clean Future: Biofuel”; international PR, a contact window for clients from all over the world; and finally, an assistant artist under the renowned master perspective artist, Chen Qishan (陳啟善), in architectural perspective drawings.

I am the author of 3 Chinese novels published in Taiwan by different publishers, including my most famous work, "The Revelation of Angels", a series novel that took 3 years of research in angelology, mythology, bible studies, and 2 years in writing; "Azure Moonlight", a novel-to-movie-ready fiction in collaboration with the famous Taiwanese director, Kevin Chu Yen-ping; and "The Devil's Contract", a repurposed work of the previous novel.I was also the author of "Seven Sins & Sorrows", a fantasy novel that was among the top 50 finalists in the 2010 Cross-straits Literature Competition, organized by Qidian and Cite Media.Being a novelist for years has consolidated my strong creating writing background, and having my works published further attests to my skills in the art.

At StarMovies, a Taiwan-based Chinese novel publisher in collaboration with the famous Taiwanese director, Kevin Chu Yen-ping (朱延平), I served as a contract novelist responsible for producing a novel-to-movie-ready work. The novel "Azure Moonlight" was produced during my time with StarMovies, published in 2005. A new novel was in the works when the publisher closed down in the following years.

At SHAQ Publishing House, a once renowned, now closed, Chinese novel publisher, I was assigned to its fantasy branch as the lead art editor and associate editor. I was responsible for designing a unified brand image, creating book covers, posters, contacting freelance artists, as well as general editorial work. This job gave me the capability to dissect and analyze modern Chinese writing, afforded me an insight into the commercial literature industry, and improved my own literacy skills both as a critique and a writer.
