I am an experienced patent and trademark attorney in counseling, implementing patent strategies, and preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications for individual inventors, startups, and larger companies. Technology areas in which I have expertise include electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., robotic control systems for aircraft and support structure inspections, sensor technologies, machine vision and imaging systems), software (e.g., mobile phone applications, messaging, vessel management systems and social media), renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar energy-related systems and hydrodynamic and static water cavitation systems) and energy efficiency technologies (e.g., fenestration assemblies, HVAC and chillers). - Aided in development and implementation of business plan for a nonprofit organization founded by a consortium of solar energy companies, utility companies, venture capitalists and educational institutions in the Silicon Valley area.- Identified and refined business objectives, key performance metrics, cost and schedule requirements for subcommittees in solar installation standards, utility interconnection standards, finance and marketing.- Drafted preliminary business plan for each subcommittee.- Worked with consortium members to simplify and expedite solar installation process to reduce installation cost and time.

- Lead test director and a design contributor in a multi-million dollar DARPA research and development contract to design and build full-scale prototype torpedo launching system.- Using ProE Wildfire 2.0, designed and modeled prototype components and created 2D drawings for manufacturing. Integrated modeled components into master assemblies to ensure fit and compliance.- Directed and organized five test engineers in material and prototype testing over an 18 month span. Drafted a comprehensive test and schedule plan. Wrote test procedures and developed data analysis methodology to ensure accurate and complete results.- Developed submarine maintenance hardware from initial concept to production thereby cutting field maintenance time by 60%.
